There are many things in daycares that are good. Parents want there children to be safe, and normally they think that if they are going to a daycare it would be a safe place for their child. However, there are many bad things that happen in daycares. Tons of people have where they have had to remove their child from a daycare for different reasons. Some just are because their child does not like the daycare and some are for more serious reasons, like mistreatment and unsanitary conditions in the daycare.
http://www.thestar.com/News/article/218357. Take this for example! This article is all about the mistreatment in daycares. It states that there are THOUSANDS of never- before- released daycare incidents where daycares have been reported to having a number of children wandering off, being FORCIBLY confined in closets. This is completely crazy. This is also probably most leastly expected. I cannot believe that children would be forced in a daycare. A place you are paying money for your child to go to! The regulations and inspections at daycares should probably happen more.
I have never personally been in a daycare, however I have many friends who were in daycare. One of my friends told me that she actually had to be removed from her daycare. My friend went to a daycare that had nap time. She did not like to take naps. She could never fall asleep. The people watching her at the daycare said she HAD to take a nap. She still couldn’t so they said they would make her write until she fell asleep. If she didn’t fall asleep she had to “write until her hands fell off”. She was removed from the daycare. This is a minor instance but it is still verbal abuse, it made her scared.
Another one of my friend had a more extreme instance. My friend was at a daycare and she and one of the little girls at the daycare got into a argument over crayons. This argument was turned over to the childcare providers. They got really upset at my friend and spanked her numerous times on the butt. Enough to make her cry. This childcare facility was one with a no touch policy. She told her mom and her mom was absolutely furious. She did not go back to that daycare ever. Her mom filed a report and the lady that did that to my friend was fired.
Can you believe all of this? These incidents are not even extreme. This has to come to a stop. Its ridiculous this happens at a place where you pay for someone to care for your child. Everyone lets start to make people aware of daycare mistreatments. If something happens report it so we can make it come to a stop! This cannot go on.
Have you ever had a experience? If you have, post it on here. Also post what you did as a reaction to what happened to you. This will make people aware.

This is an op ed on daycares. My entire paper was over daycares. This has to do with the need for good childcare. This is a great article on how there is an urgent need for child care.

I really like to write for electronic audiences. It is fun to do, and it is very easy. Your opinions can easily be more talked about. Writing for academic audiences is formal, usually long, some require research, and its really not fun to do.

I wrote my analytical research paper on daycares because I am interested in kids, I thought it would be an interesting topic. I discussed the effects that food have on daycares. They are playing a big role on children’s eating habits. It was an interesting topic.
